The Jaipur Sparkle: What India Taught Me About Adornment

The Jaipur Sparkle: What India Taught Me About Adornment

Nowhere changed how I think about jewelry more than Jaipur, the Pink City.

In India, adornment is not an afterthought — it is part of the ceremony itself. Gold carries blessing. Layering tells a story. A bride is not over-decorated; she is fully celebrated. After Europe taught me subtraction, Jaipur taught me the beauty of abundance done with meaning.

An Indian wedding

A wedding here can last for days, each event with its own color, its own mood, its own jewelry. Family is everywhere. Nothing is rushed. And the bride shines at the center of all of it — adorned, radiant, and unmistakably the queen of the moment.

What I brought home

Permission. The idea that on the biggest day, you are allowed to feel like royalty — and that the people around you can shine too. It is also where I fell in love with the idea of a whole group dressed to celebrate together: matching pieces so the bride and her circle all feel like queens for the night.

Celebrate together — explore crowns and sets for the whole party.
